Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! Today’s post is all about my DIY maxi dress. Maxi dresses are my favorite item to wear during the summer, I can throw it on and go. Get ready to bust out your sewing machine this weekend and whip up one of these easy comfortable dresses.
In the tutorial, I demonstrate some tips and tricks on how to sew with knit fabric. For my dress, I used an African print knit fabric, a kente design. I’m in love with the this fabric, it drapes nicely and was very easy to work with.
How to Slay the Look

Fabric: 4 way stretch nylon lycra (Diamond Band Kente Print). I received the fabric from African Stretch Fabrics. The design that I chose is currently sold out, however you can choose from other available options within the shop.
