Hello Everyone! Today’s post is all about my halter crop. I’ve created a step by step tutorial for you to sew along with me. In the tutorial I’ll be demonstrating some essential sewing skills that you’ll be able to use beyond this tutorial. I demonstrate how to use and attach single fold bias tape and I demonstrate how to do an understitch.

How to Slay the Look

Crop Top: Step by step tutorial can be found below. I modified Simplicity pattern 1112

Skirt: You can use McCall’s pattern M7355. I’m thinking about doing a sew along for this pattern soon. Comment below if you’d like to see a tutorial.

Fabric: Wax Print/Ankara, can be found here , you also like the blue, purple and magenta options.

Thank you! And thank you for the feedback. I will definitely add pockets, they are a must for every skirt I make.

Hello. The skirt pattern of M7355 calls for the skirt to be lined. Did you line the skirt or was your material sturdy enough to fore go the lining?.

Hi Anni. The material I used was sturdy enough to not need a lining.
