Hello Everyone. Today’s post is all about how to make a duster. I used New Look pattern 6514 with a slight modification to add pockets. If you’ve been on this sewing journey with me then you know my obsession with pockets. You can find the pocket pattern in the free sewing resources section of the blog.

I previously made this duster in a longer version and wrote a pattern review. Even though I wanted to make another long version, I only had three yards of fabric so I had to make it work. My limited amount of fabric pushed me to create the high low midi length duster. I’m glad I switched it up, now I have some versatility to my coat collection. You can use the step by step tutorial below to sew both the long and mid length version of the duster.
