I’m sew in love with my #NovaCoat. This is hands down my favorite coat. Creating fall/winter looks that I can style with sneakers is my new mission. I like dressing casual for the comfort but at the same time I like a good statement piece. Pinterest has been my go to for inspiration, you can find my inspiration board here. I’m sew excited to create more comfy, casual yet EXTRA pieces, I already have my next piece cut out.
Sew the Look
Fabric: Mudcloth (100% cotton) from Nasika Wax, I used 1-7/8 yard. Solid Black (100% cotton) from Afrique Clothing Store, I used 3-1/3 yards total for the main fabric and lining.
Pattern: Nova Coat/Jacket by Papercut Patterns
Sizing: I cut the size 1, I sized down from the recommended size. My measurements are as follows: bust- 37, waist- 29, hip- 41.
Modifications:
- Added a 9.5 in. by 6.5 inch cuff (folded in half to create the cuff. My wrist is slim 6.25 in., I wanted a more fitted look.
