Happy Thursday Everyone. Today I’m bringing you look #3 from my Jamaica Trip Collection. Out of all five of the looks I made, this one is my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I love my other makes, but this one right here, I feel so regal and magical. Maybe it’s the fullness and movement of the skirt that has me mesmerized.
For the top I used New Look 6491. This pattern is designed to be a dress, but I only desired to use the bodice portion, so I created a 2 inch waistband that ties in the back.
For the skirt I used my Teva Skirt Tutorial. I filmed an add on to show how to achieve maxi length with 45 inch wide fabric. I also have a maxi half circle tutorial on my YouTube channel. The YouTube version has a zipper closure at the back, while the Teva Skirt version has elastic at the back. Whatever your preference, I got you covered.

Top: New Look 6491. I used remnant pieces after cutting out my skirt. The finished measurements of my waistband: 20in. x 2in. Waist Ties: 13in. x 2in. (My waist is 28in)
