Hello Everyone! Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you all are having an amazing week. Today’s post is all about how to sew and style skirts for the fall and winter months. If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you know skirts are my favorite garment to make and wear.
Throughout the years I have had challenges creating my personal style for the fall/winter months so I went to Pinterest for inspiration. Through my search I noticed that I was drawn to all the pictures with women wearing mini skirt, leggings and ankle booties.
For my fall/ winter fashion, I decided to create a mini length- full circle skirt. I find that this length pairs well with leggings. I picked up three yards of this fabric from JOANN’s to create my skirt and matching necklace. I have two circle skirt tutorials on my YouTube channel. One if for a high low maxi circle skirt, however you can use this tutorial to create a full circle skirt of any length. I also have a maxi half circle skirt tutorial that can also be designed for any length. For my necklace, I modified my Imani Necklace design to create this look. You can find the tutorial for the necklace here, I’ve added the dimensions of the modified version to the Imani Necklace page.
