Sew the Looks
Fabric: Mudcloth Print (100% cotton) from NasikaWax. I used about 20 yards of fabric to sew everyones outfits.
Patterns/Tutorials:
- Ties and Pocket Squares– For my brothers ties I use a pattern by Sweet Shop Sewing. I also recorded a tutorial on my YouTube channel demonstrating how to sew the tie and pocket square.
- Skirt with Ruffle Hem– I made matching skirts for my sister, my niece and myself. For the base skirt pattern I used Mimi G’s Jessica Dress. Next, I self- drafted a flat front elastic back waistband for each skirt. For the ruffle hem I cut a long rectangle that was 15 inches by 5.5 yards. It felt like I was gathering for hours.
- Double Front Slit Skirt– For my mom, I made a double front slit skirt using my Sariyha Skirt Course.
- Infinity Top– For my moms top I created an infinity top using the Teva Tutorial. I also have a tutorial on my YouTube channel for how to draft and attach an infinity top to a skirt.
