Beginner Sewing | Sewing Starter Kit

Hello Everyone! I’m starting a beginner sewing series on my channel to help those who want to learn to sew. People are constantly asking me to sew for hire, but I’m not passionate about producing for others. My passion is educating others so that they are empowered through new knowledge. In the video below I go through all the essential materials that I believe a beginner sewer needs to get started. If you’ve already jumpstarted your sewing journey, please share this video with those who have expressed interest in wanting to learn to sew.

I am impressed with your fashion designs! I myself was a beginner sewer at the age of 12 only in school. My dad bought me my first sewing machine age 12. I have it today and still works. I find myself only trying to design skirts and scarves for me only. I have one problem: trying to make a build in elastic waist. I have tried over and over to not wear it after all. I love sewing but I realize things are not like it was in the 70s.
Any advise is better then not asking. I really don’t want to give up but I need advise!!
    Truly
    Annette Joseph
