Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. I had a great time with my family, I made a large pot of gumbo on Christmas Eve and we spent Christmas day eating and relaxing in our pajamas. I spent New Year’s Eve sewing! I can’t wait to share all of the projects I’ve been working on.
Todays post is all about my wrap top with bell sleeves. To create my top I used view A from my Tory Wrap Coat pattern and hacked the sleeves in a similar manner to my bishop sleeve tutorial on YouTube. I was initially going to add elastic to the hem of the sleeve but after trying on the top in between sewing, I decided to omit the elastic and keep the bell shape. I also omitted the collar from the top and opted to finish the collar seam using bias tape.
