Sew the Look
Fabric: Ankara (100% cotton) from House of Maxi Wata. I initially made a skirt using a remnant from a previous bundle I purchased. I loved the fabric so much that I decided to buy more yards and make a matching wrap coat.
Pattern: For the wrap coat dress I used my Tory Wrap Coat pattern. I also have a tutorial on my YouTube channel. For the skirt I created a mini half circle skirt using the pattern I created in the Teva Skirt Course (flat front elastic back waistband). I also have a half circle skirt tutorial with a zipper back waistband on my YouTube channel.
Sizing: For the wrap coat I cut the size small. My bust measurement is 37, I looked at the finished garment measurements to make my decision. The skirt is self drafted using my measurements. The finished length of the skirt is 17 inches (I’m 5’7 for your reference).
Modifications: No modification
Styling: I styled the duster with a mesh mock neck body suit and leggings from Forever 21 and ankle booties from JustFab.
