Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday. I hope you all are doing well. I have been trying to stay germ free during this flu season, which has been quite the challenge being an elementary school teacher. There is so much work to be done so I always feel guilty for taking a sick day, but I know it’s necessary.
Over the past couple of months I’ve been working on my flat front- elastic back skirt tutorial. I’m happy to announce that I am finally finished and the tutorial will be available next week. When creating the tutorial I made five different versions of the skirt. A mini skirt version, which is featured in today’s post. Also, a midi and maxi version. In addition, I made one with a lining and horse hair hem. The last one that I made has belt loops and a sash. This is my new favorite skirt, as it gives me the best of both worlds. Sleek look in the front and flexibility to move in the back.
I’m in love with my new matching set. I had about a yard of fabric left over after sewing the View B version of my Tory Wrap Coat so I decided to make a skirt because I love the fabric so much. When I was sewing the skirt I didn’t consider pairing it with my coat until I started playing around with the styling aka playing dress up. After trying them on together, I fell in love with the combination. Now, I will definitely be adding more matching sets to my wardrobe.
