Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday! My first tutorial of 2019 is here!!! In the videos below I teach you how to create and sew a bishop sleeve with a ruffle cuff.
For my first look of the year, I decided to sew my Tory Wrap Coat with a couple of modifications. I changed the sleeve and omitted the collar. I also self lined the bodice and add some light weight interfacing to the lining. I recorded this process, if you’d like to see the tutorial please comment below to let me know. If you omit the collar, you can also narrow hem the bodice or use bias tape to finish the hem.
Tip: When omitting the collar, you may want to size up the bodice depending on your bust measurement. You lose about 4 inches in the finished bust measurement when omitting the collar. So if you do not want cleavage or if you don’t want to wear an under shirt, be sure to size up.
What is your first make of the year?
